The Fillies Dance Team of Lamar Consolidated High School proudly celebrates 50 years of excellence in dance, leadership, and school spirit. Established in 1975 by founding director Kristina Sadler, the Fillies have become a cherished symbol of tradition and pride within the LCHS community. Now under the direction of Head Director Andrew T. Mireles and Assistant Director Brittney Seaton, the program continues to grow while honoring the legacy that has shaped it.
As we embark on our 50th anniversary season, we reflect on five decades of meaningful performances, competitive success, and the development of strong, confident young women. This year’s celebrations will include several signature events such as our 50th Anniversary Halftime Performance, the Alumni Tea Party, our beloved Fall Fillie Kiddie Clinic, the Competition Season, and our culminating Spring Show—all designed to celebrate our past while showcasing the excellence of our current team.
The Fillies Dance Team is further supported by the Blue Brigade Dance Department, which serves as the academic branch of our program. Through our elective dance classes, students are offered the opportunity to dive deeper into the art of dance, focusing on technique, creative expression, and the cultural significance of dance as a performing art. This well-rounded approach ensures that all students in the program develop both as performers and as artists.
Together, the Fillies and Blue Brigade represent the heart of dance at LCHS—uplifting our campus, building community, and carrying forward a powerful tradition of artistry and excellence.
