Principal Michael Semmler leads the Mustangs at Lamar Consolidated High School. He has nearly 30 years of experience in education, all of which have been in service to Lamar CISD. Mr. Semmler has served as a teacher, instructional specialist for technology, assistant principal, and principal throughout his career, including leadership roles at Briscoe Junior High, Leaman Junior High, and Lamar Junior High. He earned his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and his master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Dakota and is currently completing his doctorate in K–12 Organizational Leadership at Grand Canyon University. Throughout his career, Mr. Semmler has been committed to fostering strong school cultures, supporting teacher development, and ensuring high levels of student success. His leadership reflects a deep dedication to his community and a belief in building relationships that drive excellence in education.
